The Society has strong links with the Law Society
in Chancery Lane and in addition, has a twinning agreement with the Lille Bar in
Northern France. There are social functions throughout the year, the principal
event being the Annual Dinner in May, which follows the Annual General Meeting.
There is also a Summer event, which in the past has been held at such venues as
Lamberhurst Vine Yard, the Tenterden Steam Railway, Dover, and Chartwell.
The President organises
a foreign trip at the end of their year - in 2006 this was to Buffalo in New York,
and New York City itself. In the past, the Society has visited St Petersberg, Salzburg,
Barcelona and Lille.
